Hope is a job Inc. started in 2023 because of the vision of teaching Christ centered 12 step recovery in the Native Nations and throughout the world. The healing and peace that comes from bringing your past into the healing light of Jesus Christ so that he can use your pain from your past to make an eternal difference and touch other peoples lives to glorify Jesus Christ.
I never dreamed that I would travel all over the world to teach how Christ changed my life. Sharing how you can have freedom and peace in Christ that passes all understanding! It doesn’t get any better than that! All of us are broken all of us have things from our past that we can’t change, but we can be forgiven and healed by the mighty name of Jesus Christ! We know that God forgives our sins as far as the east is from the west. But a lot of us have a hard time forgiving ourselves. The Bible tells us that if we confess our sins one to another you will be healed. When that healing takes place, we want to share that with others! I don’t know how many years I have left, but as a two-time cancer survivor (Hodgkin’s disease)
I remember writing in my journal the second time I had cancer that I needed to make an eternal difference in other peoples lives to glorify Jesus Christ with the time I have left. When you get cancer the first time it’s definitely an issue but when you get it again the second time you think your history. My last chemo treatment was November 18 of 1999. I ate birthday cake and ralphed it up several hours later. Definitely a birthday I will never forget! Focus grasshopper God can use you! And if God can use me he can definitely use you!
Last year we did a 21-day trip our longest ever. Stever the believer and I hit nine states and 16 different reservations. Almost 6,000 miles. One of the couples we connected with are on the pine ridge reservation in Wanblee, South Dakota. I flew to Rapid City South Dakota and to do the two-day training in September 2023. They started a month later. They also started on the Lower Brule Reservation and the Ft Peck Reservation. Our goal is to Reach as many people as possible with the time we have left! My latest trip was 49 days where we connected with over 25 Celebrate Recoveries, 16 reservations, and covered almost 6000 miles. The latest Celebrate Recovery is starting in Navaho Nation TeecNosPos Baptist Church on September 3rd, 2025. God is good! There are other people who have been to our training that are continuing to spread the hope.
Gabi and I after starting to pray God wherever you want us to go and whatever you want us to do back in 2004 we got asked to go to Kenya on a 17 day CR training trip to Kitale Kenya. I went back in 2007. I went to Ukraine in 2009 to the Kiev Theological Seminary. Where we did a week long recovery training. I went to Saddleback Berlin on their 3rd year anniversary to talk to them about Celebrate Recovery. They still don’t have one running but I recently heard they have one in a church up and running. Our heart is to share where our strength and hope come from and to make an eternal difference in other peoples lives with the time we have left to glorify Christ.
